streetstyle
IN our weekly online column, ALINA POLIANSKAYA finds out who's wearing what in Camden Town this week:

Nick Karavanas, 28 from Middlesex is working on a market stall selling “reworked vintage” gear. His many layered tops – a pastel print shirt, a denim number, and a canvas jacket – are from his own stall, collected from a vintage wholesalers. He also wears some old Adidas trainers, a woolly hat and has squeezed himself into his girlfriend’s jeans, skilfully managing to hide the giant rip at the back.

Vikki Hayes-Kimber, 19, a law student from Ealing is wearing a pastel outfit that is perfect for the sunny spring weather. She has teamed together lots of ice-cream colours from all over the high street – a pale pink top from New Look, dusty blue New Look jeans, mint green shoes from Dorothy Perkins, and a white floaty jacket from H&M, accessorised with a pink Primark bag and a statement necklace.

Tamara Koffi, 19, from Hackney, has chosen a laid back look for a wander round Camden Town. She is wearing furry brown boots from Rocket Dog, orange tights and denim shorts from a charity shop, a red jumper from a small store in Camden and colourful bag from France.

Self-confessed ‘raver’ Grace Westerdale, 18, from south London has put together lots of unique finds for her quirky look. She is wearing her brothers old army boots, picked up her black top and zebra-stripe trousers from France, and acquired the red zip-up hoody after a friend left it at her house. This creative student made her own bauble earrings and her flower hairband.

Elly Cotterill, from Cornwall, works on the Everyday People market stall, named after the song by Sly and the Family Stone. The 29-year-old loves scouring charity shops for quirky bargains, such as her print skirt and white jumper. She has teamed her bargain buys with an old Topshop leather jacket and some chunky boots from South Korea, resulting in a look that she simply describes as “scruffy”.

Tattoo enthusiast Tristan Pratt from Tufnell Park is wearing cut-off jeans from UNIQLO, Vans trainers, and lots of layered tops including a band T-shirt, a hoody from Fouberts Place, and a customised Criminal Damage denim jacket from Rebel State. The 23-year-old who works for a tattoo parlour, said that he got his most recent bit of ink on the back of his leg last week: “Me and friend got identical 'bro-tats' after seeing the band DevilDriver. We both got their logo”.
